This is one of the things that pisses me off the most.

“In God We Trust” replaced “E Pluribus, Unum” as our national motto during the Red Scare fuckery of the 50s.

“E Pluribus, Unum” means “From Many, One.” That was once the promise of this country: that we would find solidarity and strength because of, not in spite of, our diversity.

Religion has no fucking place in statecraft and those who embrace the crossover of God and Capitalism are hungrily fascist.
